The Crisis

The Problem Is Bigger
Than You Think

Physiotherapy works — but only when done correctly, consistently, and regularly. For millions, that's simply not happening.

🌍
500M+
People worldwide require physiotherapy services at any given time — many with no access to qualified care.

Why Home Physiotherapy Fails Without Support

After discharge from a clinic or hospital, patients are handed a sheet of exercises and sent home. Without real-time feedback, motivation, or professional oversight, the vast majority struggle to comply — or worse, injure themselves further.

The consequences ripple far beyond physical pain: longer recovery times, higher medical bills, reduced quality of life, and in elderly patients, a dangerous loss of independence.

  • 🚶
Incorrect Form at HomeOver 60% of patients skip or incorrectly perform prescribed exercises — not out of laziness, but because they have no way to know if they're doing it right.
  • 💰
Prohibitive Session CostsAt Rs. 8,000+ per clinic visit, continuous professional guidance is financially out of reach for the majority of Pakistani families.
  • 📍
Geographic BarriersQualified physiotherapists are concentrated in urban centres, leaving rural patients with virtually no access to specialist care.
  • 👴
No Oversight for Elderly PatientsElderly patients living alone are particularly vulnerable — a single incorrect movement can undo weeks of recovery or cause serious harm.

The Solution

Kinai Watches. Kinai Corrects.
You Recover.

Your smartphone becomes a 24/7 physiotherapy assistant — watching your movements, correcting your form in real time, and sending detailed progress reports to your doctor.

How It Works

From Doctor's Prescription
to AI-Guided Recovery

Your physiotherapist prescribes a set of exercises. Kinai maps those exercises to guided AI routines. You perform them at home — the app watches, corrects, and reports. Your doctor stays informed without you needing to travel.

1

Upload Your Prescription

Patient or doctor uploads the prescribed exercise protocol. Kinai automatically maps it to guided video routines.

2

AI Monitors Every Movement

Your phone camera tracks 33 body keypoints using our 5-layer ML model, analyzing every rep in real time.

3

Instant Feedback & Correction

Kinai speaks to you in your language — correcting form, counting reps, and warning against dangerous positions.

4

Doctor Receives Weekly Reports

Detailed movement analysis, compliance records, and red flags are automatically sent to your physiotherapist.

The Machine Learning
Pipeline Inside Kinai

Five specialized neural layers work in sequence — from raw camera frames to intelligent rehabilitation feedback. Each layer builds on the last to deliver clinical-grade analysis.

1
Layer 01
Camera Input & Frame Extraction
The device camera captures a live video stream. Each frame is extracted, preprocessed, and normalized to a consistent resolution and brightness. Background noise is filtered to isolate the patient's body region using a lightweight segmentation model.
2
Layer 02
3D Skeleton Generation
MediaPipe Pose detects 33 anatomical landmarks across the full body from a 2D image. These landmarks are then projected into 3D space using depth estimation, creating a real-time skeletal model with X, Y, Z coordinates for every joint.
3
Layer 03
Joint Angle Analysis & Posture Classification
Joint angles are calculated from the 3D skeleton using vector mathematics. Each angle is compared against a clinical reference model for the prescribed exercise. Posture is classified as correct, caution, or danger based on deviation thresholds defined by rehabilitation protocols.
4
Layer 04
Exercise Pattern Recognition
A sequence model analyses the temporal pattern of joint movements over time to recognize which exercise is being performed and whether the full motion arc is being completed. This catches partial reps, wrong exercise selection, and incorrect movement patterns.
5
Layer 05
Feedback Engine & Doctor Report Generation
Real-time audio and visual feedback is delivered to the patient. Simultaneously, session data — rep counts, form scores, deviation events, and completion rates — is compiled into a structured report automatically sent to the treating physiotherapist.

Your Physiotherapist
Stays In Control

Kinai doesn't replace the doctor — it extends their reach. Clinicians get a full dashboard to manage patients, prescribe exercises, and monitor recovery remotely.

📊

Patient Progress Reports

Detailed weekly session reports for every patient — form scores, rep completion, joint angles, flags, and recovery trajectory charts. All in one dashboard.

Add, Remove & Modify Exercises

Doctors can update a patient's exercise prescription at any time — adding new exercises, removing completed ones, or swapping exercises based on recovery progress.

Set Exercise Intensity Levels

For each exercise, the clinician sets the target reps, sets, hold duration, and intensity. The AI model adjusts its form-checking thresholds accordingly.

🔔

Automated Alerts & Flags

Kinai automatically flags sessions with poor form scores, missed exercise days, or dangerous movement patterns — alerting the clinician before problems escalate.

👥

Multi-Patient Management

Manage an entire patient panel from one interface. Sort by recovery stage, compliance rate, or recent alerts. Scale to a clinic-wide deployment.
